Who may use Events Coordinator

Events Coordinator is invitation-only and is provided for SCCOE business. You may use it if an SCCOE administrator has invited your Google account and your access is active. Access is tied to you personally: do not share your account or sign in on someone else's behalf.

What you can do in the tool depends on the role you were given. Administrators manage access, schedulers create and publish events, and viewers can read the schedule. Do not attempt to work around those limits.

You are editing shared calendars

Publishing in Events Coordinator writes real events to SCCOE Google Calendars that other people rely on, and deleting an event removes those entries. Those actions are recorded as yours. Treat the tool as you would the shared calendar itself: schedule only events you are responsible for, and check with the owner before changing someone else's.

Acceptable use

When using Events Coordinator, do not:

• enter student names, student records, health information, or other confidential personal information — it is a scheduling tool and does not need any of that;
• use it for anything other than SCCOE business, or for anything unlawful;
• try to reach data or administrative functions your role does not grant you; or
• interfere with the service, its calendar synchronization, or other people's work in it.

Your Google account

Events Coordinator works through your Google account and asks for permission to manage the SCCOE calendars it is configured for. Google's own terms apply to your account, and you can withdraw that permission at any time from your Google Account permissions page — the Privacy Policy explains what the permission is used for and what happens when you withdraw it.

Availability and accuracy

Events Coordinator is provided as-is, for internal use. SCCOE does not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including this tool as a whole — without notice.

Google Calendar remains the authoritative record of what is scheduled. Confirm anything consequential on the calendar itself before you rely on it, particularly around the moment an event is being published or changed.

Ending access

SCCOE may suspend or remove your access at any time, including when you change roles, leave the organization, or use the tool in a way these terms do not allow. Events you already scheduled stay on the calendars; removing your access does not delete them.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SCCOE is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Events Coordinator, including missed events, scheduling conflicts, or lost work. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under California law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Events Coordinator after a change means the current version applies to you.
